Studio

A small studio in Sydney, building software for the long term.

Plant something worth keeping, then keep tending it.

Wondertree is an independent product studio. We are not an agency, and we do not build for clients. We choose problems we want to live with for years, then design, build, and operate the products ourselves.

The name is the idea. A tree is planted once and tended for decades, and it gives more back every year. We think software should work the same way: products, teams, and the people using them growing together.

Today that family is OneForce Care, operations software for Australia’s NDIS and disability-support providers, and PetNote, a calm home for a household’s pets. Both run every day, and both are still growing.

How we work

Six habits we hold ourselves to.

Less work, not more software

Each product is designed to quietly remove work rather than add noise. If a feature needs a long explanation, it is not finished.

Whole products

Design, engineering, and support sit under one roof. The people who build a product are the ones who answer for it, so quality is never someone else’s job.

Built to last

We measure our work in years, not launches. Slow, steady improvement wins, and products get better the longer you use them.

Plain language

Short sentences, everyday words, no jargon. If a sentence would not survive being read aloud to a customer, we rewrite it.

Considered by default

Calm, quietly confident software. Nothing loud, and nothing decorative for its own sake. Restraint is a feature.

Careful with data

Our products hold information people care about, from support records to a pet’s health history. We treat that as a responsibility, not an asset.

How we sound

We say
“We build tools that get better the longer you use them.”
Not
“Revolutionary synergy that unlocks limitless potential!”

Plain, warm, assured. Confidence without hype, no superlatives, and no exclamation marks. It is how we write in our products, and it is how we run the company.
